ABOUT ME

Hi, my name is Jacob Holbeck. I'm 21, located in South East Queensland and as you can tell, I love making films and videos.

I studied film in high school, but I fell in love with it at TAFE. Here I was able to truly spread my wings as a creative and create things that were truly out of the ordinary.

My favourite director is Ishiro Honda, and my favourite films are 12 Angry Men, Batman Forever, and King Kong vs. Godzilla, specifically the original domestic cut.

In high school, I first cut my teeth with HD Sony Handycams, although we later shifted over to Canon DSLRs for our final year. Unfortunately I can't remember the exact model of the latter.

When I was studying at TAFE Queensland, we predominantly used Blackmagic branded cameras, namely the 4K and 6K Pocket Cinema Cameras, as well as the Ursa G2 Cameras. Near the end of the course, we were allowed to use their brand new Sony FX3 and FX6 cameras.

Since 2021, I have almost exclusively cut with Adobe Premiere, however I also have experience with Adobe After Effects and Blackmagic DaVinci Resolve.
